As recognition of its success Kalo & Associates was one of the very few law firms to receive a “Highly Commended” award of the Eastern Europe and the Balkans region in The Lawyer European Awards (2009), on Wednesday 4th November in Barcelona.

The judges, made up of industry experts and representatives of large multinational corporations were looking for evidence of strong local identity and market penetration. Entries were judged against the following criteria:

Other shortlisted firms that Kalo & Associates competed with included well known international firms that have existed for many more years, such as Gide Loyrette Nouel (won law firm of the year in France) and Schoenherr (won the law firm of the year in Austria).

To be awarded this accolade given the fierce competition of well established regional firms in this category highlights the quality of legal services offered in Albania and Kosovo by the smaller independent law firms.

The firm holds this important recognition and achievement in high regard and believes it will only serve to contribute to the growth and consolidation of the firm’s position in Albania and Kosovo.
