The firm has been involved in the privatisation of state-owned companies operating within strategic infrastructure sectors including renewable energy, oil & gas, mining, construction (industrial parks), water supply and sewage and transport facilities.
The firm has represented several clients in tender processes for infrastructure projects, with the largest resulting in the grant of a 20 year BOOT exclusive Concession over the exclusive international airport and continues to represent on all related matters.We have represented Tirana Airport Partners (previously Hochtief AirPort from the inception of the project and continue to act for them.
Indeed, the expertise of the firm in the area of concessions has been further utilised in an advisory capacity to the Albanian Government in PPP projects (advising IFC in the privatisation of the electricity distribution company and on the Ashta HPP concession), particularly within the power sector and also in the drafting of PPP legislation. Clients in the private sector include EVN, Atermon, European Energy Systems S/A, Bechtel.
